Do not trust these 10 Star reviews, I guarantee you these people are friends or family members of the people who made this film. I'm sorry you made a bad financial investment, but you should've spent some of that money on better actors.
Who is this Matt Schultz putz? Oh my gosh what a bad actor. Bad BAD actor.

I wish I had friends
Will (Vincent Bombara) goes camping with a few friends for his bachelor party. He is set up as the "final girl." In a subplot Jeremy (James Quinn) and Hailey (Jess Uhler) are out scouting a doe trail. We also see a cannibal family who ties people up and then kills them. At about 45 minutes after we thoroughly dislike all the characters, the subplots come together.
This film missed out on the norms which make cannibal hillbilly films good. They did not have a chainsaw. Will should have been a member of the family bringing in fresh meat. Or maybe the cop would be involved. Plot spoiler: no of that happens. The ending was dull. No twists.
Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.
A swing and a miss...
I stumbled upon the 2021 horror movie "The Boonies" by random chance, and seeing the cover I must admit that I was interested in watching the movie. Yeah, the cover had that slasher-vibe to it, so of course I opted to give "The Boonies" a watch.
And as it turned out, then I could just have skipped on this 2021 horror movie from writers Lance Parkin and Matt Schultz. Yep, this movie was a swing and a miss.
The storyline was generic, so very incredibly generic and mundane. Nay, it was actually downright bland and boring. And even for a movie such as this turned out to be, there was nothing overly impressive or particularly enjoyable to be had here.
The characters in the movie were every bit as bland and pointless as the storyline. So, hey, I guess they fitted right in, huh? But in terms of the character gallery providing any entertainment for the viewers, nah, forget about it.
If you enjoy a good horror movie or a proper slasher flick, then do yourself a favor and skip on director
Lance Parkin's 2021 movie "The Boonies". It just simply isn't worth the time, money or effort.
I suppose "The Boonies" is what happens when a bunch of horror fanatics take a digital video camera and heads out into the woods to make their own horror movie.
My rating of "The Boonies" lands on a two out of ten stars.
