This is not just another rituparno film It is special with a very good storyline.It is special because its in black n white and made beautifully.Also Konkona Sen and Prasenjit Chatterjee are superb as Kaushik and Kaberi.This film is about hoe Kaberi suffers betrayal by her husband. Anybody who hasn't seen his other films will be delighted at his treatment, his sensitivity, his ability to talk about relationships in a manner that marks a genius.People who love Bengali films must be aware about how brilliant he is as a director.This film is just an exmple of his brilliance. Dosar perhaps is a landmark film, for it has all the ingredients.There are two clear winners here. First obviously the Bengali cinema and the other being Konkona Sen,a super and very talented actress. This film teaches you a lot in its journey.It's a brilliant film that should not be missed.Dosar is Bengali cinema at its best.

The movie shows the strained relationship of a husband and wife. The husband has an extra-marital affair with a colleague. On their way back from a vacation, the girlfriend gets killed in a car accident while the husband is severely injured. The movie than shows the dilemma of the wife. She is angry and hurt. At the same time she is not a bad human being and is loving and caring. She is trying her best to be nasty and show that she is strong. But more than anyone else she wants to prove it to herself. She wants to believe that she is not too upset at her husband's condition.The cast was good and Prosenjit Chatterjee has always been able to capture my attention. Konkona is a fine actress and emotes well.

Dosar is very good movie.The film deals with the strains of 21st century that is terribly affecting the relationship of men and women. The most amazing part of the movie that I felt was the use of montage and after that appearing the title. The idea of using the poem like the theme music is no doubt a sign of great intellect and deep understanding of men women relationship.The pain of Konkona's character;Kaberi seemed to represent of those women who in spite of being loyal and faithful to their husbands face this kind of insulting consequences.It is an awesome film and has superb acting by Prasenjit and Konkona.The irony is that they at the end either agree or suppress to their insult because of the social stigma or mental pressure created in their households.Rituparno Ghosh has made a very beautiful picture in black and white and this can not be missed.
