As other reviewers have said, this is very much like Stephen King's Misery. Here's the storyline for both movies-
A famous person who is looking to take a break from their career is involved in an accident and wakes up injured in an isolate cabin after being 'rescued' by someone. Turns out, their rescuer is a psychotic super fan who holds them captive and wants them to revive their career by creating new material.
In this case, the victim is a pregnant female singer who is in a plane crash, and her captor is a delusional and very bad tempered fan who was the only other survivor of the crash.
It's not really a bad movie, but it is a compete rip off of Misery. It can still be enjoyed for what it is though.
Plot summary

It was ok, but it is a copy of Misery
A modern take on the Stephen King classic "Misery"...
When I sat down in 2021 to watch the 2016 thriller TV movie titled "The Follower", I must admit that I had never heard about the movie. But after reading the movie's synopsis, I found myself interested in watching it. So of course I sat down to watch this thriller from writer and director Damián Romay.
And as luck would have it, then "The Follower" was actually a rather entertaining movie. Sure, the storyline was pretty much the same as Stephen King's "Misery" from 1990, but it still proved to be an enjoyable and entertaining movie. The storyline was good, and it was nicely written by Damián Romay. But especially the cast ensemble and the performances they put on helped bring the movie to life in a very fulfilling way on the screen.
Was it predictable? You bet it was. But that didn't really matter, because it was a nicely told story that had an interest character gallery to it.
I wasn't overly familiar with actress Erika Christensen, playing Chelsea, but I am impressed with her performance in this 2016 thriller. She was so nicely cast for the role and she had the charisma and on-screen presence that really complimented the character and made the character hers. She really carried the movie quite phenomenally with her performance.
While "The Follower" didn't bring anything new to the thriller genre, it is still a movie that is well-worth the time and effort to sit down and watch. And it is, actually, a movie that I warmly would recommend people to sit down to watch.
My rating of Damián Romay's 2016 "The Follower" lands on a very well-deserved six out of ten stars.
It's essentially a lot like Misery
Erika Christensen essentially does a role reversal from her movie Swimfan and is a kidnapped musician in a movie that is largely similar to Misery.
This doesn't make it bad, it's just predictable and nothing that hasn't been done before. It's executed and filmed well enough, if you just need a basic thriller and don't expect a ton it's worth a watch.
