What a misstep for Isaac Rodriquez. I had hopes that he was on the right track after A Town Full Of Ghosts and (less impressively) Mister Creep. I was actually excited to see this. I should have been more cautious. This is lousy in every possible way: poorly written, poorly acted, hamfisted editing, and apparently filmed by a volunteer with bad intentions. I understand that it was made on a shoestring budget, but come on: at least TRY to make it watchable, because it really isn't. Maybe next time the filmmaker will slow down, actually write a coherent script, and make an at least average low budget film. This one is far below that.

What a disappointment
A little going a long way.
This ~feature does a lot with a little. This looks like a shoestring budget production, but not detrimentally so.
Mostly, the two main actors are playing naturalistic roles (mostly). They're not "stunning" actors, but they lean-in to the believable parts of a call centre/scam- farmer and a loner-woman lost in life seemingly going through the motions. It's a story lots of us are familiar with, a modern threat to our financial safety - and watching, after 10 minutes or so I was quite engrossed and expecting a more traditional-thriller.
At a point the tables are tipped over and the film changes. I don't want to spoil it, but when it moves to a more traditional horror, it does it very well. For the first time since... Pearl I actually cared about the characters.
When the tables are tipped we get some nice Raimi-homage practical effect that were nice to see, there's maybe a bit of a Blair Witch vibe to this too.
Looking at the directors works, he's the No Sleep guy - a place I've found pretty hit or miss historically - BUT, that whole creepy-pasta community, hell - at least they're trying to be creative.
This film, unexpectedly was a hit for me, it could have been an 8/10 with some better camera-work and a higher budget. I gave it a ~generous 7. Worth a watch and seeing what the director does next.
This could probably be a 9/10 with more xp under the director's belt if it were developed into a full-length feature = 65 minutes ain't a feature length.
