Not surprised at the number of bot and trolls reviewing here as Russia's priority seems to be to promote some kind of desperate justification for its invasion of Ukraine by down voting pro Ukrainian experience media. Personally I found this to be a refreshing perspective. It took the form of interviews diving into the psyche of before and after combat and weaving in life experience reveals of various military personnel. Nobody wanted to live like this not really and yet they're all forced into this situation so they make the best of it. It's impressive how Ukraine manages to keep the Russian hordes at bay. The film has intermixed news clips and video records of actual situations both during The invasion and in combat after. Definitely worth a watch to get a realistic understanding of how the ukrainians have to fight to stay free.

The reality of being invaded by Russia
IDIOT PROPAGANDA
As other reviews have made clear already, this is propogandist nonsense. It would be laughable if the US proxy war in Ukraine wasn't so tragic. Hundred of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers (voluntary and conscripted) needlessly killed.
As documentary, this amateur effort would have had more merit and been far more interesting too if it had focused on the truth of Ukrainian nationalism in the military and larger country. Truth is so much more interesting than fiction especially in the Ukraine!
As such, a follow up patriot documentary could begin by doing an expose on the Nazi Azov Battalion (rebranded Azov Brigade) and/or the nationalistic Secret para-military police (SSU). Azov comes from a preserved lineage of ethnic nationalism dating back to World War 2 which then included sizeable documented massacres of Poles and Jews. And since 2014, given the importance of history and patriotism, there has been the renaming of major streets, highways, and public locales in and around Kiev after pioneering ethnic nationalist leaders responsible for these same WW2 massacres."
The Azov movement made an interesting contribution toward the color revolution Maidan Coup of 2014 as well as follow up Odessa protest massacre.
Some other interesting footage could include the Ukrainian national guard and SSU since 2023 operating a nation-wide program of forcefully abducting lesser patriotic Ukrainian men, of beating and arresting thousands of men from the streets, public transit (buses, trains, platforms) neighborhoods, and online baited locations, in order to put them in the army. Some of the arrested men are even disguised as women! Thousands more are caught fleeing the country by open borders and smuggled trafficking. Great footage! All of it!!
And there is the patriotic nationwide closure of Orthodox Churches by SSU and imprisonment of monks/clerics. Some places of worship burned to the ground. Great footage!
And what about the SSU and national guard stripping naked countless Ukrainian Russian citizens (men, and women with children) and saran-wrapping them to municipal poles and trees and leaving their buttocks exposed for passing patriots to beat and sodomize with sticks. More interesting footage!
I could go on with suggestions for hours but i am out of time.
Forever thank you
Strange there is only one bot review.
This movie is more like compilations of different interviews with soldiers from 3 assault brigade: people, who have seen war, who protected ukrainians, Ukraine; people, who gave and give everything they have in order to protect Ukraine's insependence; people I will be forever in debt for they do.
Please, watch it if you want to get acknowledged with one of the most powerful divisions in army of Ukraine, their stories, dreams.
Of course, it is not ideal as it was shoot by director Liubomyr Levytskyi, who is mostly famous for popcorn-movies, so there are scenes that were a bit awkward.
But in general, I really encourage everyone to see it.
Glory to Ukraine!-To heroes all the Glory.
