"When Everything's Gone" (2020) is a noteworthy entry in the post-apocalyptic genre, offering a gripping narrative and commendable performances despite some minor shortcomings. The film follows Rory, played by Alex Alessi, as he navigates a desolate world after a mysterious event wipes out most of humanity.
One of the film's strengths lies in its character-driven approach. Alessi's portrayal of Rory is both heartfelt and compelling, capturing the nuances of a man grappling with isolation and despair. The emotional depth of the character and his journey is a highlight, providing a human touch to the bleak setting.
Visually, the movie excels with stunning cinematography that effectively conveys the stark beauty of a world in ruins. The haunting score complements the visuals, enhancing the film's atmosphere and emotional weight.
However, the film is not without its flaws. The pacing can be uneven at times, with some scenes feeling slower than necessary. Additionally, while the character development is strong, the plot occasionally relies on familiar tropes of the genre, which might seem predictable to seasoned viewers.
Despite these minor issues, "When Everything's Gone" is a powerful and thought-provoking film. Its focus on the psychological and emotional aspects of survival sets it apart, making it a memorable experience. For fans of post-apocalyptic stories that delve into the human condition, this movie is well worth the watch.

Noteworthy, despite minor shortcomings.
The only thing gone is some of your life
I lasted about 10min, post apocalypse after many years and he's wandering about with no weapons, but somebody next to the corn field has been cutting the grass !. He's then at the beach and goes into a house but fails to notice hey this placeis spotless, no dust but edible food and if im not mistaken the washer has electic power, where from, does he notice nope he does'nt. Time to switch off its mostly the same with these folk who produce, write and star in their own movies, too much money and no ability.
