Weird ass movie

It must be a cultural thing but I could not imagine being in a situation like the one portrayed in this awful movie. I gave it three stars because the house where they filmed it was very nice. But the acting was overly dramatic, like a play; all the characters were unlikable except for the elderly maid; the plot was stupid; the mother in law was insufferable; the husband was a mama's boy; the daughter was ugly and they spoke in English to each other in some of the scenes. What's up with that? But I'm not familiar with Indonesian culture so who knows? Character development was very slow because of all the overacting.I watched this on Netflix to see what an Indonesian movie was like. I hung in there for the two long hours but am I proud of it....no. Will I remember it after tonight, probably not. Will it keep me from watching any more foreign films probably yes.
