Plot summary

Single and without a man on the horizon, Pia runs a failing photography studio in London with her best friend Jay. As her sister Sonal prepares for marriage and her mother Laxmi urges her to partner up, a spiritual guru predicts Pia will meet the love of her life among her next five dates. With her family intervening, Pia embarks on a hilarious yet heartfelt quest for love.

A bit vanilla

In theory, this should have been a good British romcom. Simone Ashley is delightful leading lady but was let down by the total lack of chemistry between her and the guy supposed to be her love interest. He felt horribly miscast. For some reason, they share only about four scenes together and every one feels stilted and unnatural. There are some good ideas, some genuinely funny scenes and enjoyable characters but the whole thing just doesn't quite click into place. It's a bit of a vanilla watch but left me wishing that it had a little more pizzazz ..... and a different actor as the love interest.

Lovely locations and good cast, but ...

It's seems so sadly wasted! The story telling is a bit clunky as the writing is lacking in freshness. Maybe the fault is in the editing or the directing, but this film is really lacking in oomph! It's like hoping for a delicious piece of chocolate cake and having to make do with a biscuit.The group of actors that have come together is inspiring, and they could have been so wonderfully utilised. They are all so talented and could have added a real champagne sparkle to this project.The locations are also great as they show off lovely pockets of London.I'm sorry to say that this film lacks in sparkle, charm and romance, as the leads have little or no chemistry. Some of the supporting cast are wasted, Sindhu Vee and Adil Ray in particular. These two talents are not shown to their best advantage; such a shame.All in all, not a good rom-com.

oh!

It was okay... There were some funny parts, some cute parts. But if you're looking for a fantastic (even, good) rom-com, this movie isn't it.I watched this movie for Simone Ashley and Hero, because they're both so beautiful and amazing actors. What could go wrong, right?Well... The main couple (pia and charlie) had approximately 4 scenes together... and there was no chemistry in any of them!There were a lot of cliche tropes, a lot of stereotyping, a lot of random cussing, and a whole lot of cringe.The movie wasn't bad, per se, but probably (definitely) not a movie you would want to see again.
