Wonderful and thrilling movie. The actors were very convincing. The story was nothing new, but it was very solid. The mixture of joy and sadness, aesthetics and brutality created great contrasts. The greedy, ignorant and malicious king was a character you could really detest. The friendship between the two swordsmen was also very well told and tragic. The ongoing duel between the hero and the Japanese samurai was particularly exciting throughout. This movie had everything I expect from a good action movie, but you had to stay alert to follow every twist and turn. I will definitely watch this movie again sometime and recommend it to anyone who likes sword fighting action and a tragic story.
